About Me And Real Poker Coaching FAQ

Hi there! Thanks for visiting Real Poker Coaching 😃
My name is Peter Ferderber and for 15+ years I’ve been a live poker professional. I mostly play cash games with $1000-$3000 buyins and $300-$1500 tournaments. Most of the the time I’m playing NL Hold’em but I also play 4 and 5 card PLO, H/L, and mixed games. I’ve played most everywhere there is poker in North America and have consistently been the biggest winner in almost every game I’ve played. There are proven techniques and skills I use to dominate all these games, and I can teach them to you!
Over the last few years I’ve discovered a passion for coaching. By sharing my experience with clients I’ve helped dozens of amateurs turn semi-pro/full time professional, and professionals double their hourly win rate. Although I still derive most of my income from playing poker 4 or 5 days a week, I love coaching so much I think I actually prefer it to playing!
If you are serious about taking your game to the next level you can browse through my previous newsletter posts, read my FAQ below, and email me with any questions or to schedule a free introductory call.
How Does Real Poker Coaching Work?
I offer private coaching through one-on-one work with clients. The first step is for me to understand exactly where you are in your current knowledge and ability in poker, and what your goals are. For the entirety of the time we are working together I will be in your corner as we work side by side! Through text, email, and regular online meetings I will provide you with all the skills and guidance you need to achieve whatever success in poker means for you.
What Goals Can You Help Me Achieve?
Having made a career as a full time poker professional I have a wide wealth of knowledge. Some of the goals I have helped students achieve are:
Increasing their hourly win rate, often by 2x or 3x
Comfortably and confidently moving up in stakes
Achieving more final tables and 1st place finishes in tournaments
Navigating the psychological challenges of playing poker
Recognizing and exploiting live poker tells
Successfully transitioning to part-time and even full-time poker professional
Who Is Your Ideal Poker Client?
When I first started coaching I was so excited that I wanted as many clients as I could get. Figuring out everyone’s learning style and approach to the game is so fascinating. On top of that I truly get more energy and enjoyment from my clients success than I do from my own. My methods are proven to lead to success, however they are not for everyone! I have discovered that some clients are a better fit than others.
My ideal client is:
Experienced in poker; already a winner or breakeven
Playing regularly, at least 10 hrs per week
Willing to keep detailed records of their results
Able to regularly report hand histories that we can analyze together
I want my clients to have lots of success, as quickly as possible, so it’s also important they are committed to improvement and willing to make big bold changes to their play.
If you match this profile I’d be very happy to work with you! If you aren’t certain, I do still encourage you to schedule a free introductory call. Even when I don’t find we are the right fit I can refer you to a better suited coach in my network.
How Much Does Real Poker Coaching Cost?
I custom tailor my services to each client. My coaching is not a ‘poker course’; there is no filler and no time wasted. I work with each client to deliver maximum results quickly by looking at where you are today and figuring out where the opportunities are for you to crush the games available to you and otherwise achieve your goals.
Most of my clients notice an improvement after session #1. I work hard to ensure each session pays for itself. Please schedule a free introductory call so we can discuss your goals and I can price a custom coaching package exclusively for you.
